Providence » Rhode Island » USA GuluWalk is back in Providence, Rhode Island for 2007! Last year, Providence participants not only provided a voice for peace in northern Uganda, their fundraising results helped towards the raising of over $500,000 for children's programs on the ground in the war-torn region. GuluWalk Providence is looking to provide even bigger and better support in 2007. Join in the push for peace!

-Description: Come watch the movie Blood Diamond and engage in a follow up discussion about current issues involving child soldiers in Africa. Sponsored by Uganda Action as a part of Uganda Awareness Week

-Title: Living in a Time of Fire
-Description: Brown graduate student Charles Mulekwa -- a Ugandan -- will talk about his work relating war and conflict in Africa through theatre and play-writing. Mulekwa will read from both his own work and the work of his colleagues as he explores themes of war in African drama.

-Title: The War in Northern Uganda: What you can do to help
-Description: Brodie Herb of College Hill for Christ will talk about her cooperation with One Child in Uganda and how to apply to be part of a group of 20 Brown students that will go to Northern Uganda this summer to help with the clinic and school that One Child is running.
